Sales Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our growing solar company. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering knowledge with proven sales experience to promote, design, and sell solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar and related water/energy solutions
  • Meet with clients to understand technical and commercial requirements
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Design basic solar system proposals and provide technical support to customers
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and follow up on leads
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to company growth
  • Stay updated on solar technologies, market trends, and competitor activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of total work experience, with at least 1 year in sales
  • Hands-on experience in solar or water-related projects/activities
  • Minimum Diploma in any Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related preferred)
  • Strong technical understanding of solar systems and related components
  • Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in solar PV system sizing and basic design
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and MS Office
  • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities
